1/8- Snow in the Forecast- Please Read

01/05/24, 10:29 AM

Hello Teller Families!

With snow in the forecast on Monday, we wanted to touch base with you all about what will occur in the event of a 2 hour delay. If the district calls for a 2 hour delay, school will start at 9:40am instead of 7:40am. All transportation services, for pickup and drop off, will also be delayed by 2 hours. For example, if they are usually at 7:15 they will be at 9:15am.

As a reminder, on late start days we will not serve breakfast as lunch will start at 10:10am. If it is actively raining, snowing, or below 20 degrees Fahrenheit we will call an inside recess day. Meaning that, all students will be inside the library for recess and they will be watching a movie. There are 2 grade levels per recess, about 180 students, we have them watch a movie as there is not enough space in the library for them to participate in physical activities. In the event it stops raining, snowing, or the temp rises above 20 degrees Fahrenheit AND the blacktop, playground, and turf are safe then all recesses will resume outside.

As soon as we are notified we will send any and all communication via our Reachwell app.
