4) Afterschool Snacks

We have seen an uptake of students coming down to the Main Office to get a snack during the day and after school. The snacks have to be restocked every other day by the Pantry Friends and it is not sustainable for them. Please have your students bring their snacks from home for the school day and afterschool programs (minus Discovery Link).

8) Join us for a CSC Meeting December 12, 5-7 pm

The Collaborative School Committee (CSC) will meet on Tuesday December 12 from 5-7 pm in the Teller Library.  All members of the Teller Community are welcome to join the meeting.  During the meeting we will be discussing the Unified Improvement Plan (UIP) goals for the year and our school discipline policy as well as beginning to shape budget priorities for next year.  A full agenda for the meeting can be found here.  There will be a time set aside during the meeting for Public Comment.  Please note that CSC members approach budget discussion and recommendations from a “positions, not people” viewpoint.  However, if budget discussions include information about staff positions that cannot remain anonymous, we may need to make part of the meeting a closed door session.

The CSC is a group of parents, teachers, and community members whose role is to advise and provide recommendations to our Administrative Team while bringing community and parent voice to the table.  The CSC primarily advises on the school's Unified Improvement Plan (UIP) and budget.  Additionally, the CSC provides input on Program Design Changes, School and Community Engagement, Principal Evaluation/Selection, School Schedules and Safety and Discipline Procedures.

9) DPS DAC seeks community feedback on the 2024-2025 DPS Budget

The District Advisory Committee (DAC) is a community-led group of parents, educators and other community leaders who are appointed by the DPS school board and provide recommendations to DPS.  The DAC Budget Subcommittee is currently seeking community feedback on the 2024-2025 DPS Budget in order to help craft budget recommendations to be presented to the Board of Education in January.  If you would like to provide feedback on district budget priorities, please complete a short three-question survey by December 15.
