  1.  First Farmer’s Market: 🥕

Join us tomorrow, September 1st, for the first Farmer’s Market of the 23/24 School Year! This market will be led by students in Mr. Kraft’s 5th grade class. The market will take place right after school, from 2:40pm-3:40pm,  under the pavilion near the south playground. Stop by and pick up some fresh food and veggies!

  1.  School Registration:

All families (current and new) are required to complete their registration on the Parent Portal. We still have about 50 families who have not completed this mandatory task.  The final deadline to complete this mandatory task was Wednesday, August 30th. Parent Portal is still open for registration despite the past deadline and it is not too late to finish registration for your student.

      • All registered families  should receive a confirmation email saying that you have registered your students. If you have not, and believe that your student is registered, please check in the Parent Portal that you pressed submit at the end of the registration process.

      • If this is your first time using Parent Portal and you need support navigating this online platform, check out the Family Navigation Guide.

      •  If you do not have your child’s student number, you can retrieve it here

For new students who have never experienced a fire drill before, here is a short video you can share with your child so they know what to expect during the fire drill.

  1. Teller Garden Update - Volunteers Needed

A huge thank you to all of the volunteers who helped care for our garden over the summer.  The garden looks great thanks to your support and help!

Next week students will begin to harvest from the garden to provide food for the Teller Food Pantry.  Each kindergarten, second and third grade class will have the opportunity to come out and harvest in the garden.  (Our ECE, first, fourth and fifth grade classes help out in the garden in other ways.)  This is a great opportunity to learn where our food comes from and to help others in our community.

We are looking for volunteers to assist with the harvests on Monday and Thursday mornings.  Volunteers will come for 90 minutes and help students wash hands, find produce, harvest correctly, rinse and weigh the produce.  No previous garden experience is needed.

To sign up, please visit the Sign Up Genius.  All volunteers must have completed a DPS Volunteer Background Check.
