Thank You!

Teller Elementary School families, please hear us say THANK YOU to our students, staff, families, friends, and donors for our incredible Teller Fun Run fundraiser and event.

  • We have raised over $143,600 for a full-time school nurse in addition to specials, gifted + special needs, and other valuable programs for our students. This will directly impact our students and staff!
  • Our 2,000 donations/sponsorships have come from over 1,300 people in all 50 states and 10 countries! This is the power of community!
  • Our students ran 19,040 laps combined today to help our school!
  • We celebrated our community coming together and created unforgettable memories at our Teller Fun Run event.

Thank you for your support of our school. We’re grateful for our Teller Elementary School community!

P.S. Giving will remain open for one more week. If you would like to continue to give and share, check out the Teller Star Tiger page here

Attendance Matters!

It is essential for students to attend school daily in order to acquire the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to be college and career ready. Parents, guardians and students are all responsible for making sure students are on time and ready to learn. Denver Public Schools is kicking off an attendance initiative for the remainder of the 2022-2023 school year. Research has shown

  • 1 in 5 students in Colorado are chronically absent.

    • In DPS, 47.5% of students have either chronic or severe chronic absenteeism, which means that almost half of our students have missed at least 15 days of school.

  • Chronic absenteeism has led to more and more students needing intervention by the end of 2nd grade.

Teller’s absenteeism rate for each quarter is as follows:

Quarter 1 - 95.12%

Quarter 2 - 92.17%

Quarter 3 (as of February 1st) - 92.36%

Our goal is to hit 95% attendance each and every day for the remainder of the 2022-2023 school year. Please help us achieve this goal by ensuring your child is in school everyday.
