Keeping our Students Safe

Dear Howell Families,

School parking lots can be incredibly busy places in the morning when
children arrive and in the afternoon when it's dismissal time. Ensuring the
safety of all of our students is our primary concern and requires everyone's
participation.

Please keep the following safety rules in mind:

 Stay alert
 Instruct your child to wait for the crossing guard’s instruction before
    entering the crosswalk
 Make sure to follow all arrows and markings in the parking lot at all
    times (Do not DOUBLE PARK at the drop off area)

 Do not pick up or drop off your child in the bus lane at any time
 Cross students only in the designated crosswalk in front of the school
 Make sure you are coming to a complete stop to pick up & drop your
    child
 No running, horseplay or goofing off during pick up & drop off
 If your student is late, make sure you drop them off on the parking lot side
   

Safety and Security will be patrolling our parking lot to help with efforts to keep
kids safe.

These rules are for the safety of the children at our school. Each child has
the right to believe and expect that ALL adults are watching out for their
safety in our parking lot at Farrell B. Howell School.
