Literacy Character Day

On Monday, Oct 31, 2022 We will be having Literacy Character Day. Students are encouraged to dress in a costume that represents a character from a book. We ask that students bring the book that their character is in if possible. Students are allowed to dress in costumes with the following expectations:


● No short skirts/shorts/tutus (without something underneath)
● No bare midriffs, no bare shoulders, or low necklines
● Nothing that promotes the use of illegal substances or activities or are derogatory, disrespectful or depict violence
● Hats & hoods may be worn as part of costume, this day only and during the parade only
● All costume preparation to be completed at home (students cannot apply make-up or colored hairspray once students arrive at school)
● No masks or weapons (nunchucks/sickles/swords/knives/guns etc.)
● Students or parents who have questions about the acceptability of their costume should check in with Ms. Vargas prior to wearing the costume to school.

   

If your child's classroom will be having a celebration and you would like to join them please talk to you child's teacher .

YOU MUST CHECK IN THE OFFICE WITH A VALID ID BEFORE JOINING A CLASSROOM CELEBRATION.
