COVID Case Updates (January 13, 2021)

Dear Farrell B. Howell ECE-8 School Families,
It is our priority to keep you updated and informed of incidents related to safety and I want to make you aware of new COVID-19 cases which have been reported to me:
- A confirmed COVID-19 case among a student or staff member which occurred over the winter break. As this individual was not at school when they tested positive or were considered contagious, they did not impact any families at Howell and these individuals were or are isolating following the new guidelines until they are considered no longer contagious.
- A student or staff member within ECE was diagnosed with COVID-19, close contacts of this individual case were notified by the school nurse and instructed to quarantine (if necessary.) The individual who tested positive was instructed to isolate at home until they are no longer considered contagious following state and local guidelines.
- A student or staff member within 6th Grade was diagnosed with COVID-19, close contacts of this individual case were notified by the school nurse and instructed to quarantine (if necessary.) The individual who tested positive was instructed to isolate at home until they are no longer considered contagious following state and local guidelines.
- A student or staff member within 7th Grade was diagnosed with COVID-19, close contacts of this individual case were notified by the school nurse and instructed to quarantine (if necessary.) The individual who tested positive was instructed to isolate at home until they are no longer considered contagious following state and local guidelines.
If you have any concerns about your health, we encourage you to contact the Denver Health School Based Health Center team at 303-602-8958 (or your primary care provider) for further evaluation and possible testing.
