Dear Farrell B. Howell ECE-8 School Families:

It is our priority to keep you informed of incidents related to safety. We want to make you aware that a student or staff member within 8th Grade was diagnosed with COVID-19. The individual was under quarantine due to a recent exposure in in the community and they were not on campus during the period in which he or she would have been contagious. None of our families at school were directly impacted by this case; this is a courtesy notice to keep you informed on the cases within our school community.

• The person diagnosed is being kept home from school until they are no longer infectious. 
• The person’s activities when they could have spread COVID-19 were assessed. 
  • As this individual was not as school when they would have been considered contagious, no students at school were exposed to this case and no students or staff members were instructed to quarantine.

If you have any concerns about your health, we encourage you to contact the Denver Health School Based Health Center at 303-602-8958 (or your primary care provider) for further evaluation and possible testing.
