Farrell B. Howell ECE-8 School

Happy Thanksgiving

07/18/22, 4:48 PM

Good Evening Howell Families,

I hope you have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving break. Thanksgiving is traditionally a day of family and friends gathering for food and celebration. It's also one of the busiest travel seasons as people fly and drive to see their loved ones. During this time away from school I encourage you to limit large gatherings (especially among unvaccinated individuals) and consider getting the COVID vaccine or your booster, if you are 18 or older.

Over the holiday break, you can find a COVID vaccine clinic for anyone in your household age 5 or older at https://www.mobilevax.us/denver-metro.

Free COVID-19 Testing: All individuals in Colorado are able to receive a free COVID-19 test thanks to a partnership with COVIDCheck Colorado and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. To schedule a test, visit https://my.primary.health/l/cdphe.

You can access lots of great winter holiday tips for staying safe at https://covid19.colorado.gov/winter-holiday-guidance.

When we return from the holiday break on November 29th, please keep students with any symptoms of COVID-19* home and notify our main office team at 710-424-2770. I encourage you to get them tested for COVID using COVIDcheck Colorado above or by using Denver Health's School-based Health Centers (SBHC) by calling 303-602-8958 to ensure a prompt and safe return to school.

Stay healthy and safe,
Nurse Richard
