Greetings Bulldog Families, Happy February! We have been so lucky to have great weather this past week and weekend. Hopefully, your family had the opportunity to spend time enjoying some much needed sun together. Today marks the beginning of Black History Month! Black History Month is a month to celebrate the accomplishments and the history of Black people. Additionally, this is a time to recognize the unjust treatment of Black people throughout history as well as systemic injustices that persist today. As a black woman and leader, I am especially proud to be a part of contributing to the history and legacy here at Elevate for our current staff and students as well as the generations to come. This month we will celebrate Black History on campus through our morning meetings, visual culture representation, and more. Please join us in taking the time to discuss the many contributions of past and current figures with your students and families at home. As a reminder, middle and high school students are finishing up ACCESS testing this week. Any students who missed any part(s) of testing will continue to test through next Friday (2/9) for makeups. We are also looking forward to connecting with you all during our February Family Conferences on February 15th. Be on the lookout for conference signups in your email and they are listed under events. Lastly, our high school Bulldogs will be taking their third round of PSAT testing next Wednesday (2/7) as we prepare for our official testing in April. We strongly encourage students to get adequate rest and eat a healthy breakfast in order to perform at their highest potential. We appreciate your continued support!
