DSST: Elevate Northeast High School

Greetings Bulldog families!  My name is Lindsay Agbalokwu, and I am the School Director in Training here at Elevate Middle School.  This is my 10th year with the network, and I have been here at Elevate as a leader for the past 4 years.  

As we start back in Semester 2/Quarter 3 we are focusing on creating strong academic habits and classroom culture across our school.  Our students are engaging in rigorous coursework and getting back in their habits post winter break.  

The School Choice window is now open. (Jan 11th –Feb 12th). During last year’s choice process, we were in high demand among families in Far Northeast Denver, ending with many families on our waitlist. Since you already have a seat at DSST Elevate, your spot here is secure. Once you’re enrolled in any DSST school, you DO NOT have to complete the choice process again. We will automatically enroll your student at DSST Elevate again next year. You can rest easy this year and for years to come! As a founding school, we will be adding one grade level each year, building out to 12th grade. Again, if your student is continuing with us for 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade, there is no need to fill out the School Choice application. Some important reminders to help our students start off strong:

• Attendance is important!  We need students at school the full day as much as possible to stay on top of their learning.  Winter weather can be tough on attendance- be sure to make a plan to help support getting your child to school in winter months during cold/bad weather.  Reach out to your student’s advisor if you need support with attendance.  

• Be sure you are checking Parent Portal in IC and LiveSchool to keep up with how your student is doing at school.  Reach out to your student’s advisor if you are still not set up on these apps.
