Good Afternoon Elevate Community,
On 11/30/23, the gas that is used in our science labs for experiments, was switched on for 1-2 seconds in error. Student and staff safety is our first priority. The room was ventilated and safety precautions were taken by staff immediately. We have identified the minor gap that allowed this to happen and have worked with our Operations and Facilities teams to ensure all appropriate measures are taken to prevent this in the future. We follow all Flinn Scientific Safety protocols in our Science classes. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to me. Have a safe and wonderful weekend.
