Hi Bulldog Parents,
Welcome to the 2023-2024 School Year. I am so excited to start off this school year strong.
My name is Jalen Hughes and I am the Community Engagement Recruiting manager at DSST: Elevate Northeast. I am also very excited to welcome in all of the new families that are joining us this year. I hope I can get to know you all soon. This year, one of my goals is to increase the number of people that are part of our parent group, Bulldog Pack. I hope I can create a safe space that all parents can feel welcomed in. I value your input so much and I want you to know that you all play a huge role in the success of our school. Let’s take this year and make it a great year for all of our students. Let's help create that culture and pride that we want to see in our school.
Our first parent group meeting will take place on Thursday, September 7th from 5:30pm - 6:30pm. Let's kickoff the year strong! This meeting will be in person. Please see below for the agenda items we will be talking about:
- 5:30 - 5:50 - Introductions & School Updates
- 5:50 - 6:00 - Feedback and what we want future meeting to look like
- 6:00 - 6:20 - Back to school Night & Upcoming Events
- 6:20 - 6:30 - Defining when meetings will take place

Hola padres Bulldog,
Bienvenidos al año escolar 2023-2024. Estoy muy emocionado de comenzar este año escolar con fuerza.
Mi nombre es Jalen Hughes y soy el gerente de reclutamiento de participación comunitaria en DSST: Elevate Northeast. También estoy muy emocionado de dar la bienvenida a todas las nuevas familias que se unirán a nosotros este año. Espero poder conocerlos a todos pronto. Este año, una de mis metas es aumentar la cantidad de personas que forman parte de nuestro grupo de padres, Bulldog Pack. Espero poder crear un espacio seguro en el que todos los padres puedan sentirse bienvenidos. Valoro mucho sus comentarios y quiero que sepan que todos juegan un papel muy importante en el éxito de nuestra escuela. Tomemos este año y hagamos que sea un gran año para todos nuestros estudiantes. Ayudemos a crear esa cultura y orgullo que queremos ver en nuestra escuela.
Nuestra primera reunión del grupo de padres se llevará a cabo el jueves 7 de septiembre de 5:30 a 6:30 p.m. ¡Empecemos el año con fuerza! Esta reunión será en persona. Consulte a continuación los puntos de la agenda de los que hablaremos:
