The 2023-24 school calendar is now live!
The 2023-24 calendar is now live! The calendar includes several adjustments such as the move to semesters instead of trimesters and a full week off for students AND staff for Thanksgiving. You can also see other notable dates including half days for students, family conference dates and more. You download the full calendar here. Keep an eye out for school-specific calendars, which will be available in August.

On any given Wednesday afternoon, you can find Tara Peña, junior at DSST: College View High School, muddying up her Converse shoes walking the Bluff Lake property completing her internship assignments. And she loves every second of it. - DSST: Montview HS's award-winning journalism program is making huge strides for young journalists

Community Connection
Hi! My name is Keely McCaskie, and I’m the Community Engagement Manager at DSST: Byers. We know that the more schools collaborate with families, the more students succeed, so my role is to ensure that strong family-school-community partnerships exist at the heart of everything we do at Byers. For example, I coordinate our family engagement initiatives, advocacy efforts and connections to the broader community. Having worked as both a community organizer and classroom educator in the past, I understand the critical importance of leveraging the perspectives and expertise of families and community groups in order to achieve greater educational equity for our students. Trimester Two family survey
DSST families- be on the lookout for our Tri Two Family Survey coming up from March 6 - 24. We offer our full family survey in hopes to hear how we are doing from you. The survey should take around 7 minutes to complete and will cover a variety of topics including Student Experience, School Operations, and Communication and Engagement. Please partner with us by sharing your feedback on the Tri Two Family Survey!

Wondering how you can engage and support students at DSST Public Schools? One of our opportunities for the month of March is supporting our College Success program as we lead up to Senior Signing Day.
Each year, the National Association for College Admission Counseling hosts a conference known as the NACAC Conference. This is a vital opportunity for our college's success staff to attend seminars and workshops to refine the strategy and approach used to support our students in their journey of college and beyond. You can learn more about this program in our upcoming campaign emails, sent to donors on a biweekly basis.
