Director's Note

Hello, Bulldogs!

It is hard to believe that the end of our first trimester is next week and that we are heading full steam ahead into Trimester 2. Both middle school and high school students have modified schedules for finals next week. Please make sure students are at school on time so they may showcase all of their learning.

A couple of weeks ago, we sent home communication about our cold weather arrival policies, I wanted to send them one more time as our morning temperatures continue to drop. Students should be prepared for temperature shifts in both inside and outside of the building. We encourage students to dress in layers (aligned to both MS and HS dress codes), and wear their winter coats until they enter the building. We do ask students to remove their coats when inside to be aligned with both middle and high school dress codes. Additionally, if the weather is below 32 degrees and/or it is actively precipitating, then we will open our front doors 15 minutes before our normal door time, which is 7:30 for MS and 7:45 for HS. Students will be able to sit in our cafeterias until we release them to get breakfast and go to advisory. Students will not be allowed to go to classrooms or be in the hallways.

Additionally, we have seen an increase in unsafe behaviors on the school busses after school; specifically, after school, students are running in front of or onto the bus. Once students are on buses and en route to their destination, the drivers are reporting that our students are not living our core values. We are asking for your partnership in reminding your students that riding the bus is a privilege and that students are representatives of our school while on the bus.
