Please read this newsletter that contains important information and updates.
NOTICE:
Please note that if you are calling for your child's early release, students will not be pulled out of class via a phone call. Parents will need to come to the main office with a valid ID before students will be called down and released. There will be no exceptions so please plan your time accordingly. Also there will be no early release after 3:00pm as it is extremely disruptive to the end of day procedures. Thank You!

Please note: the administration team is always busy and that makes it difficult for drop in visits, we request that you make an appointment in advance. Making an appointment in advance gives you their undivided attention, unless it’s an emergency, let the main office know so that they can check if anyone is available.

The Collaborative School Committee (CSC) will be having another budged meeting on Monday, April 15 from 4:00 - 5:00 pm in the library. Virtual link follows the agenda.

Budget Discussion
A. Review different scenarios in order to balance the budget
B. Wil be able to use the budged assistance from the district in order to help us meet priorities was well as balance the budget?
C. Try to come to a census as to what actions to take in order to prioritize what is most important to our school while still balancing the budget
D. After we come to a census, decide what our next steps are
E. Discussion of addition of parents to the Personnel Committee
F. Deadlines for future actions

High School Parents- just a reminder that this Tuesday, April 16th students in 9th, 10th, and 11th grade will be taking the PSAT/SAT test. Seniors will not have classes on Monday. Students testing need to arrive at regular time 8:20 am and will be release around 1:00 after they are done testing, unless they have accommodations that specify extended time. for more details
School of Choice Round 2 is now open through Friday, Aug.30, 2024. Keep in mind that with this round there is a waiting list.
You still have today and tomorrow to watch The Little Mermaid, don't miss this incredible show!!
Elementary and Middle School aged students will need an adult supervisor present to attend the show.
On Saturday, April 13, after KCAA's production of Little Mermaid, everyone is invited to Kona Ice! The Colorado House Representative for our area (Javier Mabrey), our DPS Board representative (Xochitl Gaytan), and the Little Mermaid cast and crew will be there! We hope you stick around to meet other parents, teachers, staff, and our representatives.
You still have time to pre-order the yearbook, this year if you pre-order you will get two free pages to customize. Last day to pre-order is this upcoming Monday!!
