District 6 is currently updating Infinite Campus to better comply with a student privacy law called FERPA. The purpose of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is to protect the privacy of information concerning individual students by placing certain restrictions on the disclosure of “non-directory information” contained in a student’s educational records.
The change that District 6 is making requires legal guardians to give permission for step-parents to log into Infinite Campus. This ensures that FERPA is followed, and only specific people have access to Infinite Campus.
If you wish to allow a step-parent to log into Infinite Campus, please contact the front office staff to complete a quick paper permission form.
Please reach out if you have any questions. Thank you!
