Standards-Based Grading Information Night

Día de los Muertos Celebration & 3rd Grade Concert
Friday, November 7th from 5:00-7:00 PM
Location: Frontier Academy Elementary (K-5) Campus
Concerts:
- 5:30 PM: Students from Mrs. Neuhalfen, Mrs. Magley, and Mrs. Bowness (A–L)
- 6:00 PM: 3rd Grade – Students from Mrs. Baird, Mrs. Billings, and Mrs. Bowness (M–Z)
Food & Activities: 5:45–6:45 PM – Face painting, games, and delicious food provided by LULAC and our Spanish-speaking OPT.
Special Performance: 6:30 PM – Storytelling & dance in the gym while activities continue.
Safety & Access: Park anywhere and enter through the big gate between the buildings. Restrooms are in the gym. Please supervise children and avoid other areas of the school.
📚 Frontier Academy Battle of the Books (BOB)
Battle of the Books is a fun and engaging reading program where students 📖 read selected books, 🤝 work together with their team to discuss and study them, and compete in a friendly “battle” in the spring.
To participate, students must:
- ✅ Commit to reading and studying at least five BOB books
- 📅 Attend weekly team meetings
- 🏆 Participate in the Battle of the Books on March 4th
- 💪 Work hard with their team and demonstrate good sportsmanship

🏀 Uniform Return & Basketball Registration Reminder 🏀
Uniform Return:
Parents and families of Fall Season athletes, please ensure your student’s uniform is returned to their coach as soon as possible.
Failure to return a uniform will result in a Uniform Fee on your student’s account, and your student may be required to sit out the first game of their next participating season.
High School Basketball Registration:
Registration for HS Girls and Boys Basketball is now OPEN! Make sure to upload a current physical and complete registration before tryouts. Registration closes Sunday, November 16, the day before tryouts.

🍎 Please note that any food deliveries to Frontier Academy must be picked up during a student’s official lunch period. The front office will not call students out of class or allow food to be taken back to classrooms.
⚠️ To avoid missed deliveries, be sure to schedule orders carefully—if food arrives late, it can't be picked up at the end of the day.

You must complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Colorado Application for State Financial Aid (CASFA) each year before the fall semester. Be sure to create your FSA ID (username and password) before attending your session.

The Aims Financial Aid Department also offers in-person FAFSA/CASFA help sessions:

🍎 Frontier Families – Food Pantries on Campus 🥫
We have food pantries available for our families at both campuses during school hours:
- Secondary Campus (Grades 6–12): 🏫 Please check in at the front office to access the pantry.
- Elementary Campus (Grades K–5): 🏫 The pantry is located in the 4/5 Building, at the front of the building, and is unlocked during school hours.
Everyone is welcome to utilize these resources as needed.
Donations are also welcome! 🛒 Non-perishable items can be dropped off directly in the pantry.
