📝 State Testing Week: April 14th- 17th 📝

State testing is coming up, and it’s a big deal for Frontier Academy! 🎓 The data from CMAS/PSAT helps us fine-tune our teaching to better support your child’s learning. We’d love your help in setting them up for success! 💪

Here’s how you can help:

📅 Be Present: Try to avoid scheduling appointments during testing week if possible.

📊 Check Those Scores: This week, MAP test score reports will be sent home. Take a moment to review them and chat with your student about the importance of standardized tests.

🗣 Encourage Your Kiddo: Remind them these tests are just one piece of the puzzle—no pressure, just a chance to show what they know!

🌙 Prep for Success: A good night’s sleep 🛏 and a solid breakfast 🍳 can make all the difference on test days!

Thanks for being such an awesome part of our community! 💙🐾 Let’s make this testing season a great one!

What About Multi-Day Exams, Projects, or Essays?

For classes with longer assessments, the scheduled exam day will typically be the final due date. Teachers have flexibility to administer multi-day finals and will also provide meaningful assignments on the scheduled final day.

For example, a long essay might be turned in early, but students could be asked to reflect on their work, complete a self-assessment, or give a presentation on the final exam day.

What Happens on "Non-Test" Days?

Teachers will use these days for:

  • Review and preparation before exams
  • Extended time or makeup tests
  • Career exploration activities
  • Engaging lessons that didn’t fit earlier in the year

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. We appreciate your support in helping students finish the semester strong!
