Solar Eclipse

April 4, 2024

To ensure the safety of all students and staff during the upcoming solar eclipse on Monday, April 8th, we will be distributing safety glasses to all individuals. Thank you to District 6 for making this happen for our Frontier Academy students.

The eclipse, visible from Colorado, will be partial, with approximately 65% coverage of the sun by the moon. It will begin at 11:28 a.m., peak at 12:40 p.m., and end at 1:54 p.m.

It's important to note that students who choose to leave the school premises during the eclipse, including high school students going out for lunch or driving off-site, will assume personal responsibility for their safety if they opt not to wear the provided solar eclipse glasses.
