6-12 Parent/Teacher Conferences

Dear Parents,

This September, we will continue to hold parent-teacher conferences for grades 6-12 via Zoom. These will be held Wednesday 9/20 and Thursday 9/21 from 4:30-7:30 pm. We have received consistent positive feedback from parents regarding Zoom conferences. In particular, parents appreciate that there are no lines to wait in and they know when each teacher is available. In addition, teachers can see more parents than before.

We will provide a form to sign up in advance via Sign Up Genius, so if you would like to conference with a particular teacher, watch for more information and signup links in the next few weeks. It is important that parents sign up well in advance of the conference date. Please be sure to check your Spam folder for the emailed Zoom links as conferences get closer.  The Zoom link emails usually come via Sign Up Genius and not from the teacher email accounts.

If it is more helpful to meet in person, teachers are available to meet after school throughout the year, by appointment only. Please work with individual teachers to arrange a meeting time.

Thank you for supporting our students and teachers!

Thursday Food Bag Program
🍎🥦
A partnership with the Weld Food Bank- The Backpack Program provides food for children who are at risk for hunger over the weekend. Nearly half the students in Weld County qualify for free or reduced-priced meals. However, on Saturday and Sunday, those meals are inaccessible which makes these kids even more vulnerable to hunger.

Weld Food Bank works with school counselors at Frontier Academy to identify students who are in great need of food over the weekend. Volunteers fill the packs with child-friendly food including shelf-stable milk, juice, a high-protein meal, and three or four snacks.

Weld Food Bank then drops the packs at schools and the children take them home every Thursday.
