Board Corner

Welcome back Frontier Families!
 
Just a reminder, all are welcome to attend Frontier Executive Committee Meetings - Generally 1st Thursday of the month at either the Elementary or Secondary Library. Check the calendar or monthly agenda for location.
 
Thanks to those that signed up to be part of Secondary OPT at registration. It's not too late to be part of this group, contact cookk@frontieracademy.net if you'd like more information. Officer elections are coming soon.
 
Construction is complete at the elementary, thank you to the team that worked so hard to make this happen.
 
Mark your calendars & plan to join the Executive Committee, our staff and students at the upcoming Harvest Festival / Health and Safety Fair on September 9 and the 5K on August 26th.

Craft Your Legacy Week
 
August 21st-August 24th
 
 Middle School & High School
 
Monday: Strengths Day, we will spend time learning what our top strengths are and share those to create one giant word cloud.
 
Tuesday: Class Motto/Mantra Day, Learn more about how we can come together to craft our legacy.

Wednesday: Club/Activity Day, Students will have an opportunity to explore the different clubs and activities that we offer here at Frontier Academy.
 
Thursday: Happiness, This day we will continue to focus on how we can work to craft our legacy as well as reframe what happiness looks like in our lives. 
 
Elementary School
 
The elementary students will participate in these events on Monday & Thursday.
 
Show your happiness to be a Frontier Academy Wolverine by dressing down Thursday, August 24th.
 
Dress down wearing Frontier Academy spirt wear. If you don't have spirit wear, you can wear our school colors (red, white, and blue).

At Frontier Academy, we partner with District 6 Food Services.

All students no matter family income can qualify for free breakfast and lunch.

Harvest Festival & Health and Safety Fair

September 9th at 11:00 am-3:00 pm
Elementary Campus: 2560 West 29th Street

Family Event:
The harvest festival will have games, bounce houses, a Dj, cotton candy, popcorn, soda, Boettcher's epic obstacle course,
face painting, Kona ice, and a food truck. 

Entrance Cost $5.00 per person
There will also be additional items (food) for purchase
and bringing cash (small bills are encouraged.)

Elementary Volunteer Orientation


Volunteer Orientation: August 22nd @ 3:30 pm at the Elementary School Library

Volunteer orientation will be offered during OPT meetings, the second Tuesday of every month at 6:00 pm in the elementary school library.

Volunteer opportunities will begin in September.

Volunteer orientation must be completed each school year.

The visitor form MUST be completed 24 hours in advance of your planned visit.

Frontier High School Boys Soccer

Thank you for sponsoring the Frontier HS Boys Soccer team.

Jog-a-Thon donations can be made in two ways:
1. Pledge an amount per lap the player runs. Each player might run 20-25 laps. 1 lap = 1/4 mile.
2. Give a flat donation.

Players are required to run 8 laps minimum
Please make checks payable to: Frontier Academy (Boys Soccer in the memo)
All proceeds benefit the Frontier Mens’ Soccer team and are tax deductible.

Each player’s goal is to raise $100.

If you would like to make a pledge, please reach out to a high school soccer player or Coach Aguirre.

Para asistencia en español invitamos a todos los padres a nuestra reuniones mensuales. 
La primer junta sera el Martes 22 de Agosto donde hablaremos sobre la nueva aplicación Reachwell 
La orientation de Voluntarios, Sobre la colaboraciones con el grupo de OPT, y nuestro event anual de día de Muertos que celebraremos este 3 de Noviembre.
